Resort Manager
About the Job
We are searching for an accomplished and innovative Resort Manager to lead our multi-departmental team at Northern Lights Village Pyhä. As the driving force behind the resort’s overall success, you will oversee the Experiences, Restaurant, Front Office, and Housekeeping teams, ensuring every part of the guest experience meets our high standards. You will work collaboratively with the department Supervisors, inspire staff across the resort, and maintain our standards of warm, personalised service.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Oversee all daily operations and departmental functions (Experiences, Restaurant, Front Office, Housekeeping) to maintain smooth coordination and a seamless guest experience
Implement standard operating procedures to uphold brand standards and regulatory requirements
Team Management & Development
Lead, mentor, and support Supervisors and the various teams, fostering a cohesive working environment and encouraging professional growth
Conduct regular meetings with department Supervisors to establish priorities, review performance, and address challenges
Guest Experience & Quality Control
Act as a key point of contact for escalated guest concerns, ensuring professional resolution and the highest levels of satisfaction
Continuously evaluate service quality in all areas and implement improvements in collaboration with Supervisors
Financial & Resource Management
Track expenses and oversee cost management while maintaining service excellence
Collaborate with department Supervisors to forecast staffing needs, manage schedules, and optimise labour costs
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, as well as company policies, across all departments
Maintain a safe, secure work environment for both guests and staff, encouraging a culture of responsibility and awareness
Strategic Planning & Collaboration
Work closely with senior management to establish short- and long-term goals for the resort
Liaise with the Sales team to ensure that all promises made to guests are fulfilled, aligning guest expectations with the actual service delivery
Requirements
Proven leadership experience in a hospitality management role, overseeing multiple departments or functions
Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for motivating diverse teams
Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills, with a natural ability to build trust and navigate sensitive situations
Demonstrated financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control
Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal environment and adapt to changing demands
Robust knowledge of hospitality software, preferably including Mews & FareHarbor
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or business administration
